[Judging #: 100362897] Gracie is a rescue dog I adopted about 5 mos ago - her story from the rescue is below - I have attached her "after photo".
We went to save her and she saved us!!!
Greetings Shirley and I was SOOO happy to see that you have adopted Gracie
(formerly Mishkwa which means "red fox" in our language) who was
rescued on the Red Lake Indian Reservation near death.
Gracie was pregnant and in labor for a long time. The owners did not
take her to the vet so she would have surely died. They called Red
Lake Rosie's Rescue and that's how we met her on March 30 2009!!
One of our Board members went to her rescue and rushed her to the vet
in Gonvick MN and she had a life saving c-section. She had 2
puppies who died within 2 days after their birth. She was spayed at
the same time.
Poor little Gracie was beside herself trying desperately to save her
2 babies and when they died and were removed from her cage she
frantically would search the shelter to try and find them.
Thankfully she went to Dino Buege in Rogers on April 12 and then her
luck REALLY changed when she was adopted by your family Shirley- and
we thank you for that.
I hope you will check out our blog at www.redlakerosie.blogspot.com
to find out more about our efforts to help the Red Lake dogs and
cats. We have an amazing network of friends in the metro area that
help us so much!! We rescued sheltered and rehomed 617 dogs and
cats in 2008. We also have clinics to neuter/spay. We altered 507
animals in 2008.
We find many large and small breed dogs that are left outdoors and
expected to forage for food. Most get no vet care except for our
program.
Thank you and should you ever want to do a good will story on Red
lake Rosie it would help us gain more support for the many animals
that need our help.
Blessings to you and Gracie- she went from "rags to riches"
May I share your update and pics for our blog?? Your name would not
be used.
Thank you and have a great day. Karen Good Red Lake Rosie's Rescue

Thank you again Shirley
